This is a blog dedicated to a merry band of Brighton-based artists, who regularly hold Open Houses, and who have decided to open up earlier than the rest of them, this Christmas...<br />You'll be able to see a lot of the work from the house on this blog...and possibly some goings-on that are <em>not </em>usually on view!<br />We'll try and give you an insight into the hectic few weeks which lead up to an Open House opening its doors, and diary-ish updates too... as we go along.<br />Today, is the first meeting of all the artists, where, at 202 Ditchling Road, they all drink wine, chat....oh, yes, and look at wall-space and bring images 'round for flyers and articles etc...<br /><br />The artists involved are <a href="http://www.fivewaysartists.com/artist.php?page=profile&amp;id=34"><strong>Polly Raynes'</strong> </a>beautiful watercolour, pastel and acrylic landscapes, <strong><a href="http://sewrecycled.folksy.com/">Emma Herian's</a></strong> Stunning corsages, bunnies and textile treats, <strong>Holly Bell's</strong> simple, pure and emminently functional ceramics, <a href="http://www.philippastanton.com/"><strong>Philippa Stanton's</strong> </a>atmospheric and passionate acrylics on canvas, <a href="http://www.artcreatif.co.uk/"><strong>Annie McMullen's</strong> </a>almost edible tumbled resin and fused glass jewellery, <strong>Alex Mercer Rees'</strong> sumptious silk and felt scarves, <strong>Chris Brooks'</strong> fabulous metal fish, foliage and garden sculpture, <strong>Linda Kemp's</strong> serenely cosy felt cushions, and <strong>Lauren Brooks'</strong> daintily worked shell and cultered pearl jewellery.<br /><br />202 Ditchling Road is also renowned for fantastic complimentary mulled wine on arrival, so a couple of us thought we should just have a go at practising the method of making it...and also drinking it!<br />In fact these two experimenters may be familiar to some as <a href="http://www.5ftinf.blogspot.com/">5ftInf</a> and <a href="http://sewrecycled.blogspot.com/">sewrecycled</a>...yes, they are renowned for their fantastic 'tasting' skills...and of course their textiles and fine art!!!</div><div><div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center;
